Cooking with Plants

Ingredients

  • 4 large yellow banana peppers
  • 1 green jalapeño pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp red pepper hot sauce or red pepper paste

Instructions

1. Cut the tops off the peppers. Slice in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Chop coarsely and place in a food processor with the remaining ingredients.

2. Serve as-is, or combine with an equal amount of minced cilantro. Add more minced garlic, olive oil and salt.

Serve with bread, chips, on soups or stews, in sandwiches, in hot dogs and burgers, etc.
