Christina: Michigan, USA

Bio: Christina spends most of her time behind the reference desk of her local library. Among her off-duty interests are mountain biking, baking pies, hosting dinner parties, and doing pilates. This leaves little time for gardening, but she packs it in whenever she can. She is often late to work because she had seeds to sow, weeds to pull, or tomatoes to pick; and she attributes all of the many, many bruises and nearly broken bones from mountain biking to the fact that she was concentrating too intently on where to put some new plant instead of noticing the tree in front of her.

How to be greener

I work at a university that has finally decided to develop a "sustainability initiative." Because I am a librarian, I was asked to create a bibliography of resources to enhance our faculty's understanding of the concept and how they might incorporate it into their departments' curricula.
