  1. These plants are so much more beautiful growing lush outside of tiny holiday-colored pots. I love how Caribbean islands have the lovely juxtaposition of rustic homes and lush green growth.

Thanks for sharing pictures of your journey!

  2. beautiful photos … so wonderful to be able to juxtapose our lives with those of others and to be able to share it so easily … just had a glass of wine with an old dude from Bequai wearing longjohns and 3 other layers of clothing (we’re all sweating in shorts and shirts here in Fort Myers Florida) … he left Bequai after living there for 27 years because of the chickens in the hospital + his doctor said he’d be better off back in Canada now (but he wasn’t impressed with our Toronto summer last year when he was testing out the waters there) … I was sitting beside a Walmart poinsettia the whole time (heheh) … he also just told us that Toronto finally just bought the land and his wife will get $10,000 for it along with each of their children … I learned a lot today!

  3. Wow. I normally am not that into pointsettias — sad neglected things in a foil-wrapped pot — but these are a different animal altogether. Beautiful, flashy and gorgeous. Makes me understand their true nature a little more.
