Daily Botanical: Pink Penis Flower

I’ve mentioned my cute little colloquial name for this plant before. The real name of this particular pink type is ‘Purple Plum’. The sign accompanying the plant also gave it the common name Tailflower.
They make it too easy.

LOL! You could also call it the ‘Pink Potty Tail’ flower (honest to God, that was my parent’s term growing up, amazed my brother wasn’t scarred for life!) Thanks for the chuckle!

Jennifer: You first comment was not edited. It was deleted. I explained, via email why it looked like spam. It wasn’t until subsequent comments came through that I could see you were a person and not a spammer.
