Daily Botanical: Sundew (Drosera adelae)
This is the other sundew of the pair I bought in early May. According to my favourite book on carnivorous plants, “The Savage Garden” by Peter D’ Amato, this genus is from Australia and prefers life in a humid terrarium, which is where I have mine right now. Apparently, it puts out red, star-shaped flowers. I can’t wait!

Very exciting!
I’m so tempted to go back to Humber for a third time (I dropped in again a few weeks ago on my back into town), but I’m worried about what it will do to my bank balance. The carniverous plants are very cool, but kinda pricey!!

What kind of terrarium setup do you have for the Sundew? I have mine in a large bowl with a lid but it’s quickly outgrowing it.
