The best gardening event of the year, Seedy Saturday Toronto is coming up this week! This year it’s in a new venue and at a new time, which should be interesting. Once again I will have a table and will be selling my wares. We’ll be debuting a new t-shirt that I know you’ll love. I’ll also have some of my own surplus seeds to trade.

See you there!

When: Saturday February 28, 2009

from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm

Where: Artscape Wychwood Barns (Barn #2), 601 Christie St., Toronto

If you’re looking for a Seedy Saturday in your area check out the listings on the Seeds of Diversity site.

  1. What a city our size and this diverse needs is a Seedy WEEKEND!

I can’t ever make a Saturday event because we’re Jewish, and there are only a couple of “Seedy Sundays” listed – none anywhere near here. :-(

For the second year in a row: Drat, drat. We’re not even that far from Wychwood, either.

To those who are going: HAVE SOME SEEDY FUN FOR ALL THOSE OF US WHO WISH WE COULD BE THERE!!!

  2. Jennifer: There is going to be a Seedy Sunday at The Toronto Botanical Gardens… which I will say up front is not exactly close. But it is on a Sunday.

  3. Attended Seedy Saturday in Victoria this past weekend. It was absolutely fantastic. My only problem was US Customs confiscated all my seeds on my way back to Washington State. Just be forewarned you can not take your seeds across the border. It was quite a disappointment for me.

  4. Oooh, yay! Hadn’t noticed that Sunday! (I guess because they’re in date order, not city)

May still drop in this Saturday… it’s within walking distance. Not being allowed to bring money will definitely keep my spending down. :-)

Sorrelina, thanks SO much for the sweet offer! (but my husband would probably not want you to further enable me)

  5. Sadly I will be missing it again this year. It seems I am fated to miss it every year for various reasons. This time I am headed home for my dad’s 70th birthday party which of course takes precedence but doesn’t make me less longing for new seeds! Especially since the weather has taken a turn for SPRING! Even the light looks different on my deck today.

  6. I’m sooo excited! I still need to get my list in order and print it out. I want to come right at 2 to go to gayla’s workshop, and to make sure I get everything on my list :)
