Daily Botanical: Dogwood (May)
Each spring there are always a few plants that I feel I am really seeing for the first time. 2008 will be forever known as the year I fell in love with dogwood.
Here’s a Polaroid I took a month ago when the buds first appeared.

My parents have a huge, sprawling dogwood on their front lawn…it must be 15′ in diameter. It never fails to please. :) Great photo.

PS. If you ever decide to publish these photos in some sort of book form, I’ll buy. Despite the crappy weather, I can’t recall enjoying or appreciating April and May more than this year because I’m finally taking time to look at the botanical beauty up close.
