  1. Yes! I was hoping someone would get the reference. In the past I have not promoted when I am going to be on a radio show because I am a freak that way. But I am trying to stop doing that.

  2. A few months back I tried to tell my boyfriend about the Mexican Radio song, but he hadn’t ever heard it. I thought everyone had heard of that song.

    That song and “puttin’ on the ritz” make me think of getting ready in the morning for elementary school.

  3. Yes! Wall of Voodoo. An old fave. Same album had a cover of “Ring of Fire” that was partially responsible for me getting into Johnny Cash.

  4. Gwen: It is Pavement, “Stereo.” Reading back I have no clue where the Wall of Voodoo came from but I went with it at the time. But yes, Stereo. Not Mexican Radio. Canadian Radio.
