Hanna’s Tomato Tastings 2006
I stumbled across Hanna’s Tomato Tastings over at This Garden is Illegal through a link off Renee’s site today. Hanna planted 16 different varieties of heirloom tomatoes this year and is undertaking a process to document the fruits of each one. She’s got notes on size, shape, texture, taste, growing and more. She also includes links to where she bought the seeds/plants. A pretty impressive library of tomato facts for the connoisseur/gardeners out there. She’s also encouraging folks with experience with each variety to throw in their two cents in her comments.
I echo her recommendation that everyone try one new tomato in their garden every year. It is far to easy to assume that the paltry selection at the grocery shop/green grocers is all that this fabulous family has to offer and as Hanna’s demonstrating there is so much variety possible.

Great resource Hanna. Thanks!
