Chia Screech is DEAD!
I know y’all are dying to know what happened to Chia Screech. I’m sad to say that he is now with the Big Chia in the sky. Sniff. It’s my fault. I murdered him. I gave him too much water and he started growing mold. I didn’t water him enough and his hair shriveled up. Then I finally got sick of his fugly mug staring at me when I was doing the dishes so I threw him away. Oh, poor Chia Screech, we hardly knew ye, you bastard.
I wonder if I’m the only person who has unsuccessfuly grown a Chia.
I’ve been pretty neglectful in my garden also. I’ve got two lousy tomatoes. Big whoop. I’m sure the birds and squirrels will get to them before I do. This morning I cut back a bunch of crap in the front beds. I will never, ever plant Mexican heather and petunias again. They re-seed like crazy and are nearly impossible to yank out. The 4′oclocks re-seeded and have taken over. So much so, that the poor Penta I planted months ago, while still alive, has barely grown. I yanked some of those out also. And I still don’t know what time those things open. I still think it’s 4 am. I may need to set my alarm to confirm this.
One of my crape myrtles is finally taken off. It’s finally gotten bigger, while the other one is still stunted. It flowers (a very pretty red one) but it is no bigger than it was when I bought it almost 2 years ago. My Charlie Brown trees are doing well, but they are still as skinny as a pencil. My husband hates them because they get in his way when he mows the lawn. You know, because he does it every day. Mmmm Hmmm….
In other news….I still hate Texas.

Aww, poor Chia. What the heck is a Chia Screech anyway? I guess I’ll need to read back entries. :-)
And, The Hudson will be making an appearance soon! Oh, the mischief he’s been up to….sigh…..I hardly know where to begin.

I bet if you had a Chia A. C. Slater, that would have never happened!

I, too, have unsuccessfully grown a Chia Screech. It happens to the best of us.

Dude, it’s the humidity! After living in CA and AZ where it’s dry and coming to this swampy weather, it’s just to darn hard to get used to! And I’ve been here for 7 years!
