You Grow Girl was launched in February 2000, as a community for gardeners not unlike myself; people who want to grow but whose garden space is less than ideal. And for those of us with shallow pockets but a big, crazy love for tending plants and making a meal from homegrown fare, wherever home may be. – Read on…

Just a reminder that the Book Launch Party is this Wed night at the Gladstone Hotel. The party starts at 8:00 and should go until midnight. Be sure to arrive early to get in on the raffle. I’ll be giving away copies of the book, t-shirts and some other goodies. There will also be nibbles, plant giveaways and a mystery seed swap (bring a seed or two although I will provide seeds for those who don’t have any).
And of course there will be music by the famous and fabulous DJ General Eclectic. Special thanks to InAbstracto (1160 Queen Street) for the promotional window display!
I had a table at Seedy Saturday over the weekend where I sold some books and t-shirts. The turnout was great and I got to meet a lot of people who visit the site. Thanks so much to everyone who came out and stopped by my table to say hi.
I regret that this year I was so busy I didn’t really get a chance to look around at the other booths. I didn’t buy one pack of seeds nor did I even glance at the seed trading table! Instead I gave away a stack of seeds. I did however have the presence of mind to pick up a half pound of worms for my vermicomposter. Yay for that.
