Bargain Orchid revisited
So, here we are about 11 months later since I purchased my bargain orchid. Little did I know that buying one would cause such controversy. Everything that I read on the internet said to avoid them like the plague. I even got one scathing email from some lady who pretty much berated me for even thinking of buying one. Like I personally offended her or something. Of course, I didn't bother replying to her and of course, I forwarded to everyone I knew. I wish I had kept it, though. But I did receive some helpful advice from a nice guy named Micheal who is the president of the Beach Garden Society in Toronto. He took the time to answer my questions and I appreciated that. See? Not everyone is a sourpuss.
Anyway, it seemed to be common knowledge that it's pretty hard to get a bargain orchid to bloom again. But I figured, "What the hell? It only cost me $10.00". I am pleased to announce that it has buds on it and is ready to bloom! Dudes, do I rock or what? I even asked the Magic 8-ball if I rocked, but it couldn't predict now. Eh, what does it know? I know you all are dying to know the secret of my success. Listen carefully and take notes...
I didn't do anything. I left it outside on a shady porch and watered it occassionally. That's it. All my hard work definitely paid off. Did I mention that I rock?
I can't wait for Lowe's to mark down some more half dead orchids. Maybe I'll get lucky again.

I'm going to be taking a one night class on how to attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. I had originally signed up for a faux painting class but it was full, so this was one of my alternatives. I already attract butterflies and hummingbirds, though, because I see them all the time, but I may learn something new.
Besides, I had to find a class that cost about the same amount of money.
