Shrooms!
Imagine my surprise when I looked at my Norfolk Island Pine (Araucaria Heterophylla) today and found mushrooms growing in the soil! Big mushrooms! I don't know where they came from. I think I watered it with rain water I collected from the recent storms. Crack will do that kind of stuff, you know.
If I had know they were there last night, I would have used them in the Chicken Marsala I made yesterday. I think I may let the grow to see how big they get, but probably not. My pine isn't looking to healthy right now.
Even with all the rain we got last week (over 20"), my window box plants are looking parched already. And since it is now 98 degrees outside right now, I guess I better get my ass outside and water them.
