Yellow Pear Tomatoes
Exciting times on the ledge! The tomatoes look as if they are going to burst!
The mystery squash vis-a-vis zuchinni has finally shown it's true colors and is indeed some type of cucumber! It is definetly different from the pickling ones that I've grown from seed, the tiny cucumber fruit is all together different.
mystery squash turned zuchinni turned cucumber
as you can see it is definetly a cucumber, but remember last 'entry' when I was convinced that the sexy little beast was a zuchinni?
My pickling cucumbers have completely different looking baby fruit:

Also, I must say that the always satisfying, Lemon Cucumber has grown into an ugly, albeit, interesting fruit. I hope it tastes better than it looks!
sometime last week
it is hard to tell because today was so bright, but the stripes are starting to form.
As promised, some pictures of my heirloom melon, Moon & Stars. The name refers to dark green rind with small amounts of yellow speckle that the fruit gets. The vine has gotten really big this week, I am going to have to build a small trellis for it, and make little fabric slings for the fruit.

Finally, I believe that my eggplants have actually started to set fruit! This is very exciting indeed.
