This entry has been a long time coming. I kept meaning to do it but then I always had something better to do. Like go outside. I don't want this to be a list of stuff I've done recently but I will give some highlights.

WORMSThe worms I ordered from The Original Vermitech Systems arrived by courier last week. I got a whole pound of them. My last set of worms died because the composter was in the hall and it got too cold. Red wigglers don't like the cold. I know there are some of you out there who will be disturbed by the photo to your left of my hands filled with worms. Don't look if you can help it.

I went for an amazing walk on the railroad tracks by my place with my trusty "National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Wildflowers: Eastern Region". Let me just take a moment to praise the genius that is this book. It is so easy as a tool for identifying plants because it is organized by flower colour first and flower shape second. I saw all kinds of amazing wildflowers out in bloom right now, and could quickly identify them because of the book. I even saw Coreopsis, a plant I only recently purchased for my deck. I have put some photos up for you to take a look at.

Last weekend I went for a walk through High Park, Toronto's largest park (for those of you who don't know). The highlight was definitely the allotment gardens. I covet one of those so bad but I know I'm not ready for it. I would have to travel all the way there to tend to things and I barely achieve that now, when I only have to go downstairs and around the corner. Laziness prevails once again.
