Farmer's Market
Yesterday was the Parkdale Farmer's Market and it was better than I expected. I had anticipated bringing home lots of organic produce, but I didn't expect much more. It turned out that there was a woman selling plants, herbs, heirloom tomato seeds and native plant seeds. I of course bought seven different heirloom tomato seeds. Here's a list:
White Queen White but turns yellowish as it matures.
Evergreen -- green tomato
Cherokee Purple
Banana Legs -- long, thin and yellow tomatoes.
Sunrise III -- I didn't save seeds because I thought it was a hybrid. Who knew?
Fuzzy Tomato -- they really are fuzzy like little, red apricots.
Black Krim
Yup. Seven more tomato varieties to add to the zillion I already have. When it comes time to decide what is going to make it into the soil, it's going to be a tough choice.
I bought a cardamom plant from the plant lady! [Sorry no photos as the camera is out of commission.] I love cardamom and was surprised to discover that it looks like a ginger plant and smells heavenly. I've been going over to it and rubbing the leaves intermittently throughout the day. hope to get a chance to repot it this weekend.
