Leave Plants Here

leaveplantshere.jpg

A continuation of the ongoing saga that is Me and my garden vs The City and the public at large... I ask you, what in the h-e-double hockey sticks does this mean?

I got home last night after a rather nice evening out with the ladies only to 1. be hit on by the creepiest cabbie EVER in the creepiest and most irritating way EVER and 2. this sign taped to the wall over my patch of daylilies. Both incidents had a hand in ruining what was a great evening of television (including an insane documentary called "Hell House" and the season finale of "Six Feet Under") followed by two hours out and about with a bunch of smart and sassy gals.

Davin and I stood in front of it for several minutes attempting to decipher its hidden code. Does it mean "Leave Plants Here" as in leave the plants in this spot? I don't know what plants the writer is referring to but some plants of some sort. Or does it mean "Leave Plants Here" as in don't touch the plants that this arrow is pointing to?

Well at least I know WHO and WHAT PVBIA is. It's the Parkdale Village Business Improvement Association. Well all I have to say is that if they care to dig that last bit of earth up (we plan to lay down a stone mulch rather than bother with it) and then bother to go to the hell of ammending the soil (which is pure clay and rock) then they can go right ahead. Frankly I think they better bring in some heavy duty machines.
