I would think you could do it with any sort of a leaf, as long as it was flexible enough.

Thanks--that is cool, and my 4-H'ers will like it.

I know - not many maple leaves around me either. This would be cool on the table for thanksgiving dinner.

Although this year we're celebrating: Thanks-o-ween! Because candy and turkey should get together more often. Maybe at halloween we'll have Hallosgiving. Good times.

Heh. I actually just looked for a candy-stuffed turkey recipe. I figure someone has to have tried it somewhere. But no it appears not. Come to think of it, that probably be pretty nasty. I did find this thanksgiving recipe for: Turducken.

That's just about disgusting. I'm not a vegetarian (far from it) but that's just way too much meat all moshed together for my taste.

I like chicken, i loooove turkey... duck is greasy gamey and not to my taste at all. But one inside the other inside the other... there's just sumthin' unnatural-like 'bout THAT!!!

I know, the Turducken always did gross me out, and I'm not a vegetarian, either.

The maple leaf roses sure are pretty, though. I might try to make some today to bring to my mom at dinnertime.
