The Staghorn Fern doesn't look like a fern, but we're told it is.
It has an epiphytic growth, which means it can fly in the air like Superman
and melt other plants with its heat-vision. When not fighting crime, the
Staghorn Fern attaches itself to trees and wraps its leaves around the bark,
harmlessly feeding off the host.
"Harmless" doesn't sell in today's fast-paced sequel-hungry
ass-kicking world. The fern's new growth is often grey and fuzzy, and the
ends look like menacing hands up to no good. Make no mistake about it, when
the plant books are rewritten, this puppy will have a reputation as a
cold-hearted ruthless killer. Grey hands? Bearing ill-will towards man?
Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you "Little Billy's Alien Abduction."
