In Mexico, pomegranates are often referred to as "granada". The skin is usually bright green, as opposed to the red-skinned varieties for sale in markets here in Canada. This is one of my all-time favourite fruits. When it's in season, I spend hours munching on the delicious fruit-covered seeds.
