Here in Southern Ontario, the winter season is a vital stage in a cycle that maintains the life of every living thing in this part of the world. I accept and understand it as someone who has lived with this process my entire life. Despite all this, at a certain, undetermined part of the winter I reach my thresh-hold. It comes as a result of months of low light levels, cold temperatures, and layers of bulky clothing. I reached and then sped right past that point this week. Since I am unable to get away to a warm southern climate, I've put together a series of plant photos and thoughts from my last vacation to Oaxaca, Mexico (wa-HA-ka). Whether it makes me feel better or worse is yet to be determined.
Go there now.
