You Grow Girl™

I took this photo in the fall of 2006 just after the frost hit and I had brought in both the regular houseplants and some hopeful stragglers including this last eggplant that was just far enough along to make it. I don’t even like eggplant but leaving it outside to succumb is against my nature. Even allergy inducing eggplants deserve a chance.

I photographed this dragonfly hanging out with the cucumbers at my community garden plot exactly one year ago and wouldn’t you know it I saw one at the garden again just the other day. This must be their season because I have not seen one for the entire year between.
