A little while back I wrote about trying North American paw paw fruit for the first time. Many of you chimed in to say, That’s not the paw paw I know!
Well, here it is. The flowers, anyway.

I can’t say I’ve ever noticed the flowers before, and I consider myself a very observant guy. I think they produce fruit continually i.e. always in season, and I suppose always in flower. How could I have missed that?
First time I have noticed them as well. I agree that they seem to be in season all of the time. I have seen some really nice trees and lots of fruit at roadside stands but have not had any papaya yet. I have purchased several fruit…. I can’t pass a stand without checking to see what they have. I wrote about golden apple but then yesterday had 2 more fruits I have never heard of before!
