I have 3 very old very large apple trees in my pasture that are in full bloom now. Awesome! The apples are very woody and kind of sour that come from them; I also have some dwarf trees I'm planting as an orchard and they are in bloom too. We have a lot of douglas firs and other conifers surrounding our place, and the forest smell in spring is really strong. So the scent is just like heaven outside right now.

Stress relief, indeed. A beautiful canopy, Gayla. This one I'm going to imprint in my visual eye. Lots of times during the day when I need "therapy."

On the way to work this morning, I photographed a lilac tree. For a couple of shots, the light seemed just right -- will see when I download them later. But even if I didn't capture exactly what I hoped for (that elusive perfect shot) it was lovely to stop, sniff & shoot.
