With all the rain this year I got a bit paranoid and decided to harvest the potatoes a little early. We still got a pretty good yield and are really happy with this variety, ‘Purple Peruvian’ a blue/purple fingerling variety that maintains its color throughout, even after cooking.

  1. This is the first potato harvest I’ve seen and it’s gotten me very excited to harvest my “garbage can potatoes”. Problem is that I have NO CLUE how I’ll know when it’s time!
