    Gorgeous flower, gorgeous photo. I regret not growing calendula this year.

    Is this one that self-seeded? Do you know the seed source? I think I’d like to try it if it’s suitable for a container.

    I started this variety from seed. It will be fine in a container. I bought these seeds from Urban Harvest

    Gayla, I think you’re wonderful in many ways including the way you respond promptly and so helpfully. I know you’re extremely busy.

    I made a note of your seed source and will look at mail ordering next season.

    I was thrilled to find these Calendula at Renee’s Garden Seeds: http://www.reneesgarden.com/seeds/packpg/flowers/calendula.htm

    and read “calendulas can be sown again in midsummer for fall bloom.”

    There’s a gardening shop nearby that sells them so I’ll pick some up tomorrow and experiment with mid-July sowing.
