I’m in love with the tomato seedlings. I just transplanted the first batch from the seed-starter into their own little pots. This one has grown quite a bit but still has its seed leaves.
They smell good.
I love the smell of tomato leaves!!
how long, typically, should it take for tomato seeds to germinate? I know it all depends what kind and the conditions, but I’m wondering how long I should wait before I consider them a loss.
They generally take about a week or so. By two weeks I give up.
okay, I’m still in the zone! We had a few cold days so I think they might be hibernating, which is what I’d like to be doing instead of teaching twelve year olds how to write a short story. Thanks, Gayla.
Oh no! My tomato seeds are a lost cause! It must have been the unseasonal snow…
I love my tomato seedlings too! I check them daily to see how much they’re growing. By the way, I adore your website. The first time I came across it, I spent 3 hours just browsing the website for gardening tips.
What a great close up. My earliest memory (before age two) is the scent of tomato plants in my grandparents garden. I just love to grow them…and smell them!
